Ian Daniell (b. 1986, Sunderland, UK) is a British artist based in Western Australia. Trained at the University of the Arts London, he relocated to WA in 2018 after being inspired by encounters with killer whales and the marine environments of Ningaloo Reef. Through his practice, Life-Size Ocean Art, Daniell creates life-scale paintings, prints and sculptures celebrating marine life. His work combines scientific accuracy with a passion for ocean conservation, and his artwork Krill was acquired by the Western Australian Museum in 2022. He currently lives and works in Fremantle.
